Clear
Creek Band......a
hard boiled group of musicians from the Oklahoma Panhandle is nothing short
of gutsy. From its beginning in 1997, Clear Creek, has grown into a
band that has a solid foundation with musicians committed to giving its
audience a great show. This five-piece band believes that it is a
privilege to play in front of
an audience and loves its fans and followers.
Buoyed by support from breathless
word-of-mouth fans, Clear Creek has become "the little band that could".
Featuring a unique blend of traditional country with a touch of hard driving
rock n' roll, Clear Creek has combined hard work, road experience and an
unbridled passion for writing songs to create a sound that is as unique as
it is truly American.
This durable band is a band
built on echoes: The buried treasure metaphor from Willie Nelson and the
guitar lick from Lynard Skynard. Clear Creek is direct and never chases
trends. This band knows how to let a song breathe in a magnetic whisper
that is both honest and irresistible. Clear Creek has filled dance floors throughout the year remaining
fresh yet warmly familiar.
Anyone who has heard Clear
Creek Band can tell you that their brand of country is stitched with intricate
guitar embroidery and gently pleading vocals that run a gamut of emotions; a
myriad of everything the band is - the happiness, the sadness, all of the polar
opposites of the heart.
The precision is there with this superb five
member band, built around Colorado born Greg Ming, "Cowboy Bob" bassist
Keith Werner, percussionist Gary Brach,
"Dr. Dan" Sherbon and vocalist/songwriter Joe Dunagan. Clear Creek pairs old and new songs all the while showcasing
Dunagan's vocal talents. As he sings about the western way of life, good
times, disillusionment and things falling apart, the music just falls together
so tidily that it is irresistible; even an audience of baby boomers will get up
and dance.
