Greg Ming's excellence on the lead guitar helps to make the band's music unique.

"What is perfect pitch?" asks lead guitarist Greg Ming, "A guitar going into a trash can without hitting the sides!"  All jokes aside, Ming was first captivated by the guitar at age three.  First establishing himself as a premier jazz guitarist while still in college, "Budda" as Greg is known by his fellow band members has spent years refining his talent. His playing is known for its unique driving sound.  His music is a diverse mix of musical styles performed with consummate musicianship.  At times his music sounds like Sting without vocals with touches of Yes  - progressive rock and jazz fusion, all the while remaining country at heart.

Greg went to school in Pritchett, CO,  a small farming community.  He started playing guitar in 3rd grade and started his first band in Junior High School, playing for various civic events in southeast Colorado.  Greg played with his first dance band during his junior year of high school, and played with a jazz band while attending Panhandle State University.

Greg has enjoyed the privilege of opening for Mason Dixon, Martin Delray, Kevin Black, Chris LeDoux, Vern Gosden, and Garth Brooks. "These guys are such masters." says Greg "A big part of me was stung by the mystery that you could be that good on an instrument.  It inspired me."

To Greg, it's all part of forgetting stereotypes and grasping onto possibilities.
